ParticipantDang!
A daft question, where is it?
I’m hopeful that it’s fixable, ie not burnt out, and if it has gone to a better place, I’ll just have to stick a new one in.
Is there anywhere I can get detsils for the windings etc. so I can meter out the stator/armature? (if you’re not allowed to give these details out it’s ok)

ParticipantI’ve done some more troubleshooting and I’ve been wrong so far, sorry
I reset the machine and pulled it out so I could check the pipes. When I turn it on the soil pump works OK, then it fills up OK too. The problem shows up after that.
I just get a click & buzz. I’ve also noticed an unusuall smell in the machine (no it’s not the pots) sort of ‘burning motor’ thing.
Is there much chance that the circulation pump is blocked? Or am I barking up the wrong tree again?

ParticipantMartin,
It doesn’t appear to be a filling problem as it’s already completed the initial rinse.
The indications on the front of the machine imply that it’s well into the main washinc cycle. The machine has dropped the tablet into the washing, and it currently has some dirty water in the bottom of the machine.
When I put the power on it hums a bit, which i believe is the soil pump.
When I have a go at it and it runs then there are no problems with heating.
The front says it’s in area 3 of the cycle, 1 is ‘normal’, 2 is ‘reduced’ and 3 is ‘delicates’ the other two are rinsing and drying.
I guess what it’s trying to do is clear the sump then refill and wash some more.

ParticipantHi,
Not too sure what’s going on, I tried it tonight and it is working! I think that either it knew I was posting here (and it’s seen me ‘service’ the dish washer) or I fixed it by clearing the pump filter.
When I turned it on tonight I advanced the knob to spin and it then started clunking, but no flashing lights, it then settled down at rinse and completed the cycle from there. May be I fixed it before but was too impatient when it started clunking.
Thanks for the help, this is a super forum and I’ll recommend it to everyone!
