Thank you for taking the time Kwatt, much obliged. Could you tell me where on the refrigerator the compressor is? And is there anyway that I can test that is definitely the compressor that’s faulty?
How much is a new compressor for my model (Model: Schreiber apm6315, Serial number I think is: 981706134) and is it something I could fit myself?
Very anxious for any responses on this, it’s a family kitchen and you know what its like.
Again, your expert input will be very much appreciated.
Kind Regards, Adam.January 12, 2009 at 12:20 pm in reply to: schreiber apm6315 light not coming on-not cooling-poor air #201538adam_london

Hi All,
I have noticed there has been problems with this model in the past.
Here I am with my query.
This under counter built in fridge is built into my kitchen, never had any problems before.
Yesterday at about midday, we noticed that the milk from the fridge was warm. It has been 24 hours since then and all of the food from the fridge has been wasted. What’s lost is lost, but would like to repair it now.
Its not cooling at all.
While the thermostat is on, the fridge sounds, when I turn it to Zero, it goes quiet.
I am not an expert, but I managed to take the fridge out from under the worktop and have had a look, all LOOKS normal. There is no frost build up, etc.
The door seal has a good fit and there is sufficient venting in the plinth.
Could you advise what might need changing and how to decipher? Many Thanks, Adam.
