Thanks I will try and find someone local to give me a quote.

    update
Just rang Bosch Customer Services for advice, as I know no one local who I could get a quote from and very wary of just picking a random person to quote me.

From the information I gave her she seemed to think it may be the motor, quoted me £95 callout + parts, but suggested I rang back on Monday when the Product Advice Department would be available who may be able be more specific with the problem and likely costs.

I am now thinking if that is the case and that is the sort of price I am looking at then a new machine may be the best option.

    Thanks for your reply.

You think brushes even though the indicator lights say motor fault? I had no idea what motor fault meant so I am sure you know better. If it is brushes what is the likely cost of fixing for parts and labour?

Hi New to the forum and a problem with the same machine as OP – Model BOSCH WAE2416S

It started to make a slight noise on spinning the past couple of weeks but was spinning okay so I did nothing, no error lights. Today it just stopped mid cycle no error lights, but on turning the dial to off and back on again it am getting the top, middle and bottom light flashing, which according to my manual says motor fault.

What does a motor fault mean and what is the likely cost of repair? Or would it just be better to buy a new machine.

This is the first time I have had a problem with the machine, I purchased in February 2008, which is the reason I am asking what the likely cost of repair would be due to the age of the machine.

    Any comments appreciated.

    Thanks
