    OMG OMG OMG

I actually got the SOB out, I ordered the parts from Partmaster they were cheaper than espares I used a dicount code of PART10 and got 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} off.

Just one 2 things, the drum came out aswell, now can I slot the drum back into the door seal or does the drum go in first then attach door seal.

Also the new backplate seal, does it sit inside the second lip of the plastic drum, I mean whats the easiest way to refit the backplate seal.

    Thanks 😳

Sorry chaps but I didnt mean to be rude its just sooooooo frustrating, Ive been trying to get the metal band off for more than a day now/

    P.S I meant motor.

I cant get the band off to inspect the seal becuase,

A, The block has a shpae to it that will not allow the band to be removed.

b, The motor is in the way and will not allow the band to be fully removed as I would like to inspect the surfaces for damage (if any)

c, The Tub is plastic and has a inverted V shape collar that is blocking any removal of the band.

d, How can I take the Tub out?

e, How does the top bracket above come out as I cant release it from the springs on each side.

please, try not to be naive enough to think that none of us have come across one of these babies

    ok, here goes

lie the machine on its face, remove or loosen the band enough for it to come off, its as simple as that, then the rear third should prise away from the front section, it will then, come out with a bit of jiggery .y

    however, you should be warned

after several years of warm washes, when the back section is removed , it will, almost definately change shape, and when you try to get it to fit back to the front section, it may well not go back

just a warning, ive done maybe 30 of those, and its been a very low success rate tbh, and often ive had to order both parts of the plastic drum to make sure they fit together

    good luck!!

I know how it comes off, but dont be so naive to think that you know how to help as you clearly have no clue how to get the drum out because the block has a lip on the underside and the drum has a plastic V shape that will not allow the band to come away, also the morot has to be detatched.

So does anyone know or are you all cowboys? 😕

So basically know one knows how this machine comes apart, I need to take the thing apart to get access, I cant get the top brace off just under the lid to remove the block and I dont want to mess around like a cowboy, I need the drum out to clean everything up and do a proper job.

Phidom wrote:I take it you have removed the clamp band and now can’t get the backplate out through the back of the machine? This is never easy but it does come out, complete with the inner drum. You have to turn the backplate to get one of the bracket sections to a top corner of the opening and pull it through then turn it again to get the other bracket sections out of the same corner of the back panel opening.

As said in my first post I cant even get the band off because I cant get any real access, so how do I get the machine apart?

Oh hell to it im just gonna get me spanners.
