    Re: Indesit WDE12UK noise

    Thanks for the advice,

I’ve pulled on the edge of the drum by the paddles and still have sustantial movement.

If it is the bearings and not the drum support, is it worth getting it repaired?

    Are Bosch worth buying?

    Regards

    Alan

I would still bet the Penguin is correct, are you in a soft water area and do you mainly do low temperature washes? I had an Indesit machine that had a drum support failure at 18 months old last week. If the drum support has snapped then you will be in need of a replacement in a very short time. 😥

    Hiya,

I’ve just come across this forum and it sounds like i have this same noisy problem.

It all started when the drum wouldn’t spin. After looking i discovered the belt had come off. I re applied the belt and the drum began to spin and wash again. However on spin it make one hell of a clattering noise.

I have tried the paddles in turn at six o’clock. When each paddle is there the right hand side wont move but the left hand side will come forward a few inches. This is the same for each paddle.

Is my drum support shot? How long will it last before the whole machine dies? and is it dangerous to run it like this?

I’ve had my indesit for 4 years and has always been good, i am thinking of buying the Indesit WIDL 126 (UK) is it any good or will it meet the same fate?

    Hope you can help
    Thanks

    Alan
