ParticipantAnother update.
The grill is working fine, but the oven doesn’t seem to be getting up to heat (or at least enough for the temperature indicator light to go off)
Everything was a like for like swap, I suppose I might’ve knocked something when replacing some of the parts, but I was very careful. It has a new thermostat, grill element and function switch. I did try replacing the oven element but after it didn’t fix the issue I put the old one back in and returned the new one..Ambitiousbutrubbish
ParticipantQuick update, the new switch arrived today which I fitted and has fixed the issue.
Big thank you to Dave for the help and advice.

ParticipantThanks Dave, incredibly I found the part from a sellar on ebay for only £15!
So adding up the cost of replacing the grill element (£16) oven element (13 – which I returned anyway) thermostat (£32) and now function switch (£15) I think it’s still been cheaper than a call out from an engineer! I just hope it fixes the problem.

ParticipantHey Dave, thanks for the quick reply and advice. To be honest, the function switch was going to be the next thing to replace on my list (can pick one up for about £30/35) and after removing it and inspecting it I noticed there were some scorched marks around one particular connection… the wire that leads to the grill element! This could be case closed. I will replace the switch and let you know.
I would upload a picture of the function switch but apparently I can only upload 19.5kb Which wouldn’t make for a good visual reference..
