ParticipantThankyou Dave, most of our washes are done on a cheaper overnight tariff. The error we were getting was happening at all times of day/night. Since tweaking the pressure reducing valve nearly two weeks ago we have not had a repeat. I’ve a plumber coming in a few weeks for a major bathroom refurb. I will ask him to check the pressure and the state of the valve.

ParticipantThank you Dave, the water pressure is controlled by a pressure reducing valve which I gave a couple of turns last night to increase the pressure. There is no gauge so I cannot be sure what the pressure is. At the taps the flow did not seem much different. The wash did complete without error. On a machine that is only 4 years and 2 months old I am not impressed with Miele’s famed reliability. I do not think that I can test for any of the other likely faults you listed.

ParticipantThankyou for correcting the model number. I am still struggling with the F13 error. i have again checked water outflow and checked the filter on the aguastop all looks normal. Water pressure has not dropped either. The error still only appears during the drying cycle.
Could it be the Aquastop is faulty? Do you think I should try and replace? The one available here does not list model no G4204. Do you have one for this model. Is it straight forward to replace?
Andy14
ParticipantSorry folks I got the model number wrong it is a G4204. Is it possible to edit a post?

Don, thanks for the offer but I am very close to Caen in Normandy so Portsmouth is the only UK port I could get to on a day trip ferry. Even then I would only have about 2 hours between sailings in Portsmouth to make the the most of the special day return ferry crossing.
cheers

The isle of wight would be one ferry trip too far.
Hampshire appears to be devoid of any ISE suppliers. Unfortunately I do not have a suitable UK address in the south either.
Kwatt maybe a question could be asked on my behalf on the trade forum to see if there is a reseller within an hours drive of Portsmouth who could take delivery for me?
Many thanks

ParticipantRe: Ikea Framtid Oven DOV8. Whirlpool?? ** UPDATED**
Don & breksee
thank you both for your help and input. After much badgering of the IKEA support bods I eventually found out that the FRAMTID DOV8/2 actually IS made by Electrolux.
Via their Serviceforce ( http://www.serviceforce.co.uk/index.asp ) support website I emailed them for the manual for a PNC 944171527 even though this ref does not appear on their drop down selection. They speedily sent me the manual clearly marked IKEA Framtid etc.Very odd this as the IKEA/Zanussi partnership is well documented on the web but I’ve found no mention of Electrolux supplying IKEA.
Thanks again, maybe this post may help others in the future too.
regards
Andy

ParticipantRe: Ikea Framtid Oven DOV8. Whirlpool?? ** UPDATED**
I’ve been sent from IKEA to Whirlpool and back again trying to find a manual for this oven so I went to an IKEA store an made a note of the numbers on the service plate:0
PNC 944171527
Type 91D3D30KDI was looking at Electrolux ovens earlier and their EOD33003X bears a remarkable resemblance to the IKEA FRAMTOD DOV8/2 and this Electrolux model has a remarkable similar PNC number 944171438.
So I am beginning to believe that the this IKEA oven is infact an Electrolus and not a Whirlpool?
I’d be interested if anyone could confirm this.
Thanks
Andy

Don,
Thanks for the contact number, where did you find it? I will speak to Whirlpool as I would like to know more especially about the programming functions of the top and bottom oven. The Whirlpool UK service number gives one of the options for Ikea products.
Aha as it is a mainland European appliance they may not be able to help. In that case try French no. 0892 700 150. I got that one from Whirlpool France website 😆
HTH 🙂
Don
B***** me, I’ve looked and looked again and still can’t find those numbers on Uk nor french website.
Thanks
Andy
Mod edit: It`s a family site 😉

ParticipantRe: Ikea Framtid Oven DOV8. Whirlpool??
Don,
another question if I may. This existing single oven is off a 32amp circuit breaker in a consumer unit less than about 2.5 meters from the oven This ikea oven is rated at 0.79 KW. Do you really think 45amp is necessary?thanks

Don,
Thanks for the contact number, where did you find it? I will speak to Whirlpool as I would like to know more especially about the programming functions of the top and bottom oven.I am in France and “conventional” double ovens as we know them in the UK do not really exist. This is the only model I found available here that is less than €1600 euros!! @ €695 vs £499 in UK is a bit expensive I know I could buy in the UK and import but the warranty/guarantee implications and spare parts availability are IMHO worth paying for.
Thanks again
Andy

ParticipantRe: Ikea Framtid Oven DOV8. Whirlpool??
Thanks for the reply,
I’ve had a good look around the whirlpool site and cannot see one that even looks the same.
I might have to pay a visit to Ikea to get the model number of product code.I’d still be interested to know more about Framtid though.
Many thanks
