Re: AEG OKO Favorit 4040-W not emptying

Decided to drain and then flush the “IWMS”. Not difficult to remove from the side of the machine.
The 4 water out feed spigots slide out of their grommeted machine mounted inlets without difficulty. Surprised to see so much dried-on brownish calcium deposit in the plastic base tray moulding. Also strange that part of the side of the IWMS was open (by design)to the air – still this allowed me to blast out most of the brown crusty deposits in it with my garden hose sprayer set on single jet (I got soaked too).
Fortunately it all went back OK after cleaning and the machine seems to work OK. Wife is happy again and I’m back to loading /unloading it!

Thanks for the replies guys 😮
After turning the machine over I noticed the rounded bright metal panel below the door hinge, which after removing two screws came away easily. This provided easier access to the pump and its hose clips. After removal I turned the two halves of the pump casing against each other to open. Inside was a crumpled thin plastic round disc (a lid? originally about 50mm dia) that had got in somehow and jammed the paddles rotor.
After removing it I measured the drain pump motor winding resistance at 170 ohms and then connected a variac. Wound the volts up slowly to 230VAC and it ran smoothly. Hoses are clear so I hope it all works on re-assembly.
    Hope this helps someone sometime.

PS Would still like advice on how/ whether worthwhile attempting to clean out the side-mounted spray water dispenser mixer matrix (or whatever it’s properly called).
