It was definitely the bottom element, so a £50 part and the removal and re-fitting of 13 screws has saved on a potentially expensive call out, inflated labour charges, and several cups of sweet tea. Nice!

The nice folks at AW Services also have the part in stock for £50.53 delivered (inc. VAT) and are even posting me an exploded diagram of the appliance to help me figure out the disassembly before I’ve even made the purchase – now that’s good customer service!
Quick update:
The minute minder beeper is now working.
The stats appear to be fine but the bottom element is knackered.
I opened up the cover over the bottom element and turned the oven on – the top element immediately got hot, the bottom element remained cold and visibly looked in bad condition.
It looks like the OEM part is now obsolete but I’ve found an equivalent here.
Now I just need to figure out how to get to and remove the bottom element mounts in order to replace it…
I’ve got exactly the same issue with my Diplomat ADP5330 at the moment.
In “Conventional Oven” mode it won’t go above about 180 degrees.
In “Fan Oven” mode it won’t go above about 160 degrees.
It seems like the bottom element might be dead as the warming drawer under the oven isn’t getting very warm at all, whereas it used to get pretty warm if the oven was used for a while.
To add insult to injury, the “minute minder” beeper has stopped working so I can’t even time the under-cooking of my food in the under-performing oven.
