ive contacted Electrolux direct, they’ll be sending somebody out next week, it’s costing me £135 and no more. Parts and labour, not bad really ?

electrofix wrote:the one i found is just the heater. Its available as a seperate part. as long as the motor is ok then you dont need it

there are 3 heaters depending on motor and configuration but the one i linked is the one i have seen most.

    that engineer is being silly

Thank you for the reply, I did contact a local white goods engineer also, without looking at the system itself but giving the pnc / model number he quoted £185 for the part only, which he described as a pump and heater complete, I managed to find the same type which I believe is the below….
    direct from Electrolux

what is the difference between this and the one you’ve found?

    thanks

this may well be the correct heater but you need to check

there are 3 different heater depending on motor fitted so you need to ask shop to identify correct one

first you need to find heater, disconnect wires and using a low ohms scale look to see if its blown

so I’ve returned home and have cleaned filter and the rotary again.
ive also added a fairy cleaning tablet, I’ve put it on the longest setting, it’s been on for around 30 mins now and still no hot water? It’s just cold!

    model number is ghe623da1
    prod no 911 535 073

    hope this helps !

the salt is for water softening. there is a small amlout in the tablets but in harder areas its not enough

what kind of tablets are you using. 3 or 5 in one tablets need longer to disolve so require longer programmes

have you checked the revolving bars
1 the holes are free, get lots of them blocked
2 they can revolve as again seen lots where bad loading or the like means they jam

lastly does it get hot. if it does check that it is actually heating as if it plumbed to hot water you may think it is. look for lots of steam

also let me know Model number and pnc code as its probably electrolux (zanussi built )

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reply, im out at present but will update tonight with a model number/pnc code.

We use finish ones (with the white/blue and red dot) but will be buying the aldi ones this evening as we used these before and they worked fine in our old dishwasher. (indesit)

I’ve checked the bars – one of the holes was blocked which I pulled something sticky from yesterday.
I do hear a quiet knocking noise like its slowing down the bar – maybe this could be an issue due to potential bad loading?

It does get hot and there is steam -from what I can remember – i’ll give another run this evening.
