ParticipantI do hope that’s the case!
The top shelf does have quite a lot of ‘wiggle’ to it, but it doesn’t feel unsafe, and I assume a lot of that is because of the mechanism for raising and lowering it.
It seems odd that it just popped off from somewhere, as nothing has had any hard knocks or tugs, and from the reviews I’ve read the clips are quite a pain to get on and off anyway!
At least I noticed so it didn’t get stuck in the drain hose.
Thanks for your help Dave.

as you pull the top basket out there is a stainless bar that comes out to hold it
to stop the top basket wheels falling out of this bar it has to have stops front and back
look at the back of both rails if you have only lost one the other should still be there showing you where it goes

I know, but the shelf seems fine. There are two clips (left and right) both front and back. The shelf doesn’t come out. Are they used on the manual shelf raise/lower mechanism? I just can’t see where it is missing from, and as you don’t really get much of a parts diagram in the user manual I can’t tell!
Obviously I don’t want my dishes crashing down on top of the lower shelf or when loading/unloading but it’s done two loads since I found the piece and nothing seems amiss…
Is this part used anywhere else?
Could it have been a weird ‘extra’ which found its way in during manufacture? (seems unlikely) I’ve only had the machine in a couple of weeks.

ParticipantOh goodness, I’ll get into trouble for posting a competitor site – sorry, forgot this was also a shop.

I don’t think I have enough privilege to edit my original post. Apologies!
