    ok, i’m gonna try another stronger application of caustic soda and if that doesnt work I’m happy to disconnect the u-bend and clean it, there are lots of tutorials showing how to do this and it just looks like a case of unscrewing some parts anyway.

    Is the partial blockage likely to be in the u-bend or further down?
