Hi Don, thanks for your reply.

The freezer is in a utility room, along with the fridge-freezer and the boiler, so ambient temp not cold.

It is a Polar Queen, no idea the size but with two baskets and about a foot of depth below, and a narrow side section about 8″wide x 16″long x 16″deep.

I think I need something about 180-200lts and my budget will be around £300.

What are Frigidaire like? I’ve seen one about the right size in a local store, where I’d prefer to buy anyway.
