Don cheers for the advice i can now see it would be better to get a separate washing machine and dryer, there are some zanussi machines on offer at currys that look good. i have already got a compact hotpoint dryer i was just thinking of getting one of the hotpoint washer dryers as they can wash and dry 5kg and the compact dryer is 3kg but the zanussi machines on currys all have faster spins of 1400 or 1600 compared to the 1200 spin hotpoint washer we have right now so that would probably speed up drying times.

woo i see what u mean about electronics prone to failure. i was wondering what other good reliable washer dryers are availaable for around £300-£350 i know there are zanussi but the ones i have seen only have 2.5kg drying load and thats what attracted me to the hotpoints with there 5kg drying load. cheers if anyone has any advice
