ParticipantFinally managed to run the food in the freezer down and now defrosting. But once defrosted can I just power it back up? Will that have fixed the problem or will something need replacing? Why did this happen and how can I avoid in the future?
Thanks.Argentum66
ParticipantThanks Dave.
While waiting for a response I just had another look and think you have hit the nail on the head. There is a plastic vented plate in the inside of the freezer at the top which I couldn’t get off. I have applied a bit of force and managed to remove it and the whole space is full of ice.
Just have to find somewhere to put all the food now.Argentum66

ParticipantRe: Zanussi FJS 1025 Washing Machine
Thanks Kwatt and Iadom
I thought the drum support was on the exterior of the drum. I’m intrigued though, why does low temperature washes and particularly with liquids affect the support?
The bearings are not that expensive but the job seems a pain. Is there anything I can do to confirm it is the bearings before I consign it to the tip?
I think the machine is about 10 years old, so it’s not done bad I suppose.

Thanks Martin (I think).
Asked a local engineer today as well and they pretty much said the same. As it is a 13 year old machine and the motor is about £90 I think its time for a new machine.Argentum66
