    You are not alone! I just joined the forum after seeing your post.

    I have the ACM804/BA/S where the S means “silver” although it is more like a light brown colour, and colour was one of the main reasons for the choice, it makes a cgange from black.

    We’re on our 3rd one which failed the other day after around 9 weeks, the second lasted 7 weeks and the first barely 2 weeks. Similar failures each time, and the last 2 show exactly the same arcing/short from live to earth where the mains connectors attatch to the PCB.

    I’m awaiting a visit from Whirlpool service who will presumably declare it as scrap and arrange a replacement but do I really want another that is certain to fail? I just paid for an independent test/inspection of the power supply, but it’s barely 6 months old and was installed with a new fuse box for the extension and new kitchen.

    What’s the status of yours? Did you get a replacement? Is it still working or has it failed as well?
