    Thanks for the pointers. I have checked for leaks and found none. The windings on the motor are all around the same value, so dont think the motor has caused the issue. I have found that the motor ‘B winding’ driver transistor is a dead short, so are attempting to get a replacement (IRG4RC10S). While this may be a widely used part in the UK, it is certainly not so popular in OZ… I am attempting to order one from an interstate supplier. I suspect a power surge previously may have weakened it, until it finally failed as there are no other components I can find damaged around it (not with a meter anyway)…
