The health of any business is born out of the loyalty and comitment of its staff. That in tern dictates the ongoing success of the business. If loyalty is out of fear of retribution and not from management reality then it may as well not exist. So it is with Whirlpool a sad and unfortunate situation. Too many slices from the same cake. We all have to answer to someone but in the end to ourselves

I have no issues with Whirlpool as you seem to think and if I have given that impresion, its not correct. Whirlpool and my Company worked well together for over twelve years. During this partnership I was totaly loyal to them and the service of their customers. It is for this reason I relate to an individual as politicaly personal in persuit and not the company as a whole. I have not and will not make any detremental statements about Whirlpol as a Company.

    Well Burns.
My reply to K was not related to any developement of overal business plan. My statement was related to a situation created on a political basis for personal reasons made by a major decision maker within the company you so diligently protect. If a need has arisen to modernise, restructure or to reduce for financial reasons this can only be associated with the long term benefit of the majority and the provision of the service for which the business exists. By this very token it should be accountable and transparent. Not hidden and turned into a roumour in the first place. It for this reason that my rather cinical attitude exists. Call it experience!!!

In trying to protect sources I hadn’t posted anything about this some weeks ago when I first got wind of it but now it’s coming from so many sources that a lot more than one or two people know about it.

I’m guessing that this is probably happening although there is little detail but there is a fair bit of speculation floating around.

The scuttlebutt goes that there’s two, three or possibly four (perhaps more) Whirlpool agents having been, far want of a better term, “sacked”. No real reason for it seems to be forthcoming and, as yet, so I’ve no clue what’s going on really.

I do know that Hayworth in Blackpool (Phil Kendall, who a lot of you will know) have been terminated or have terminated with Whirlpool a while back.

As for much of anything, I’m pretty much in the dark but I assume, from what I’m hearing that the Whirlpool service network is being reorganised completely.

Just FYI but I’ sure the full story will unravel in time.

The full story of Link in 2007 has yet to be told due to to it being taken as sour grapes. I will tell all in a direct and complete manner if you feel it beneficial to others. Suffice ot to say this was political and not business generated on behalf of an individual who to date has not been named,

I would be happy to post these spares on UK Whitegoods for the benefit of all at half trade cost but selling one at a time at a loss is not really a vaible proposition. If any one has a solution I would be glad to listen.

Unfortunately what you were and have been told is true from a company point of view and a point of law, see KW input this section. Robwash, if you have not got a satisfactory job by now you need, as i said, to take a look in the mirror. I will entertain no more back and forth bitching because with so many misinterpretations of the facts it could lead to more problems and solve none. So you all have my simpathy but as you are and have been for a long time continuing with the jobs you were doing in the areas you were covering this is pretty close to any TUPE transfer.

    Re: REDUNDANCY ROGUES

    Hi
I feel its time i put something on here in response to all the indignant ranting. Firstly the company was stopped trading by the pure fact of law preventing a company from trading insolvently”as KW will understand”. This took place on 22/08/07. I, as the original MD, who you seem to think is still trading officially left the company in early March 2007. The company was forced into this situation by many aspects and it has come to light that the major one was as follows. More than 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the so called engineers “fitters” were not doing a days work for their money and taking the company for a ride for a long time. So before you rant and rave take a good long look in your own mirror and ask the appropriate question. I fully appreciate that you feel bad about the situation and i can simpathise as i am put in the same bad place myself. Throwing acusations and slants about will not change the facts of the past. I feel very sorry for the office staff and a couple of the genuine engineers but generally you create a situation and what goes around comes around. I am no longer involved in any service business and have not been since last march. In relation to Glyn he has started, just as many of you have, working on his own to try and earn a living he has no connection with work carried out by Link unlike a lot of you but we all have to try and earn a crust of some sort. So rant if you want but sooner or later you will have to put the past to bed and move on. I have many regrets over Link but feel badly let down by a lot of my staff and my own lax management and unfounded trust. BB

    Re: Redundant in Hampshire!

As the B—–d who put this poor guy out of work due to no fault of his own i feel i am well in the know to give him a recomendation. He worked for me as as service manager and very capable engineer for many years. His work over and above the duties expected of him made him very special. So if anyone out there has a position suitable for a first class engineer/manager i cannot recomend him more highly.

Thanks Ken I hope others are not put in the same impossible situation. I will keep you informed as to any progress but as of today 220807 there is a big hole in Whirlpool service cover. I could say a lot more, such as the truth, but I dont want to be sued for stating facts that can be distorted.

    Re: I got a contract!

I am not perhaps the sharpest pencil in the box but i do run a comapy employing 25 people. Your maths dont add up, what have i missed. The only bit that makes any sound sense is the cost of £25+ p/c to visit requiring a high completion rate. This applies to all contracts and that is why we struggle to improve our position by trying to bring Manufacturers and other work providers down to the planet earth. Your situation sounds like the planet ZOG….B

I have found out from source that a large number of calls (nearly 100) were in fact paid to the WP you mention, so they are withholding money, to add to this the source a have is only one of many but the only reliable one at the moment.

It’s up to you to decide which side is the unhappy party, but it shouldn’t be too difficult.

As we all know only too well you can only take so many slices from a small cake until you reduce the number of people at the party or bake a bigger cake.B
