    Hi –

    Its a MUD76 MFE/CN serial number is 51440207

I orerded the part from the UK whitegoods shop – Kenneth has been really helpful and said we need the below part.
    03010440-main-oven-thermostat

I checked with him yesterday and he also sent the diagram over which clearly shows a double capillary thermostat for our model,

Our thermastat is positioned at the back of the oven running down vertically next to the fan – I have checked and there are clips on the top of the oven which suggests there could or even should be a 2nd capillary.

    So i am wondering if
    a) I try to find a way of feeding that 2nd capillary through to the top – any advise on how that might be possible as there also is a top oven so not sure how to get 2nd capilliary to the the clips?

    b) Is there anyway of identifying what the single thermostat is that we have on there at the moment so i can replace that instead?

    Many thanks – Becca

    Hi

Hoping for some more advice 🙁 . I ordered the thermostat – having given the serial number of the appliance. The one we took off is a single wire with a single capillary – the one that has come has double wires and 2 capillaries – is the correct or do we have the wrong one?

blinking nightmare trying to sort these things under current situation so any help at all is greatfully recieved 🙂

    Hi Dave.

Thanks – it heats up even when the stat is off.

Thats why I thought it might be the selector switch – isn’t it that, that communicates with the stat?

    Hi Dave.

    Thanks for your response 🙂

Yes it does to click on and off.

Just a bit of info that might be relevant – It is a multi function oven so I select the oven function on one dial and the temp on another dial. If I select any of the oven features on the one dial it heats up even though I have not selected a temp on the temp dial- hope that makes sense.

Do you think it might mean it is the selector switch?

    thanks again – Becca
