ParticipantThere’s £30 difference between to two. Have found the bosch for £480 and the AEG is £450.
Why still Bosch – is it just better made? Tbh £30 for an extra year cover is probably worth it. Don’t think there is a massive difference in the spec (1400 vs 1600)
Thanks again!

Hello 🙂
Well, we’re in at last and in desperate need of a washer dryer! We’re still looking at the bosch WVT1260 but we’ve found a local dealer who has an A grade AEG 16820 with a 1 year parts and labour guarantee for less than the bosch. Should we be biting their hand off for it? Or should we stick with the bosch?
Obviously I’ll go and have a look at the A grade to make sure it looks ok before we commit (which being an A grade it should).
Thanks for your help
Cheers

ParticipantHi,
Thanks for the feedback. The WVT1260 is an extra £80 when we’re already pushing the boat out to afford the cheaper model. Is is really worth the extra? Is it only the WVT1260 that has the 2 year warrenty?
We’d love to have seperate washer and dryer but theres not the space for both – unless we lose the fridge/freezer or cooker! Both of which we have to buy as well. Can’t fill a fridge and a freezer in so we’ve splashed out on the Bosch KGV24325GB – hope you say nice things about it!)
This buying a flat lark is expensive! 🙂
Thanks for all your help so far.

Hello again,
I really didn’t fancy turning the machine back on again after smelling burning plastic! Fear I may burn the flat down just before we move out – then we’ll never get our deposit back… 🙂
If I’m feeling brave I’ll try it later.
Have had independent advice saying we’ve probably had our moneys worth (have been informed by the girlfriend we’ve actually had it 4 years!). So we might cut our losses and get a new one. The Bosch WVF2402GB Washer Dryer is winning at the moment. Any suggestions for or against appreciated.
Thanks for all your help
Ben 🙂
