So I’m guessing by the lack of response that the advice is probably to bin it off and go and buy a Miele?

ParticipantRe: AEG Lavamat 16830 Washer/Dryer DRYER PROBLEM
Sorry for the 3 year delay in updating this!
This was the classic deign fault on this machine- when the drum spins over time it fatigues and breaks the orange wires connecting a dryer sensor in the bottom hose.
I reconnected the wires and strengthened them by wrapping black insulation tape around
Also useful to give the clear plastic condenser a good wash out while you’ve got the back of the machine off! Thanks for help Penguin45 – seems like the forums are full of answers to this particular problem.

ParticipantRe: aeg lavamat 16830 E20 problem
Thanks for your help. You’ll be glad to know i’ve sorted it. It must have been fluff/gunge/blockage that you cant see/get to. My solution was to put some washing soda in the drum, pour a kettle of boiling water over it, wait 10 mins then put it on a hot wash. Has been fine since.
except…….now ive got a new problem, with the dryer – dryer stopping around 20 minutes into the drying cycle for no apparent reason, no error code.
