Filter clear. Water drains freely when drain hose is lowered. The pump body of the unit shown in the spares section doesn’t look much like mine. Are the impellor and body units interchangeable?

Many thanks for that. Stripped inlet valve as far as I could and backflushed with hot water, lot of gunge came out. Refitted and tested, water pressure at least double. Hooray!!!

Thanks for the help. The side tank has 3 chambers, the top most is filled by leak off from a venturi and is used as a backflush as you suggested. The bigger section is filled from the venturi down into the salt reservoir and then up to the tank, as this level rises to the top it comes to an inverted U and should syphon down to the float chamber. This is repeated 3 times. Float mechanism is good and all pipes are clear. For some reason the water only trickles over the syphon tubes to the float chamber. I can trick it into operating and cycle completes perfectly, very frustrating!!

Water gets from the float chamber to the sump ok, its getting the water from the side tank to the float chamber thats not working properly. Its asif there isnt enough pressure to push the water across the bend of the u tube to create the syphon effect.

I think the tank should fill and drain 3 times but it only fills the main part of the tank then spills over the syphon tube down into machine.
