    It’s still too warm but it’s now a few degrees cooler!? Is this a natural fluctuation or could it help signify what the problem might be?

    Thanks for your responses.

    I’ve tried most other things (that don’t rely on specialist DIY knowledge) with no success. We’ve had it for well over six years and it is second hand anyway.

    I guess it’s probably past it’s useful life and needs to go to the great white goods recycling centre in the sky 🙁

    If it is that, is it normally repairable?

    People talk elsewhere about ice frosting up the coils as a possible cause but if they’re at the back of the fridge I can’t see how to get at them.

    Although the fridge is too warm now, it’s seems that it’s being cooled to a degree.

    I took a couple of photos with the back panel off.

    I assume the parts picture are the compressor and the coil? I assumed the coil would be larger.

    Anyone know if this is correct?
