I checked on Which? and could not find the Hotpoint HS12A1DH which you showed me. However, all of the Hotpoint refrigerators shown by Which? had a safety warning regarding a plastic back cover, not a metal one. I wonder if Which? are being to picky because I can’t imagine any manufacture deliberately using duff material.

Don, Many thanks for your information. Regrettably I’m not sure that I understand what you mean by: “what you have is a fridge in the smallest sector of the refrigeration market.” I may have been misled when I was told that Diplomat went out of business some time ago.
I looked at the link and note that the fridges shown require sliding doors. My current fridge has hinged doors and I have to say that I’ve never seen an integrated fridge with sliding doors and I have no idea if a changeover can be made from my hinged doors to sliding doors.

The height of the fridge is 121 cm. The width of the fridge is 54cm

My apologies for such impatience. This is the sticker on the inside of the Fridge Freezer which was installed about twenty years ago and I think has been out of production for some time. Our Integrated Fridge Freezer has started to build up a thick layer of “frost” across the back of the fridge part of the fridge freezer and tuning the temperature down merely made it defrost so I suspect that its time to replace it. Looking through the internet I found that the Fridge Freezer I have is referred to as an, “integrated refrigerator”. I thought that I would start my hunt for a replacement by looking at Which? but they only had 43integrated refrigerators on their enormous list most at a ferocious price. My wife and I have now decided that it may probably be simpler to just look for a simple Integrated Refrigerator. I didn’t realize that there was a difference between a Stand alone refrigerator and an integrated refrigerator. Thanks for your interest. I tried to attach a photograph of the label but could not so I copied the following detail.

    Diplomat. Type: HTI 2121 Model : APM 6518 ART. No : 595442 Ser. No : 80730076 230V 50 Hz 90W Net volume 2021 (7.1 cu ft) Net weight 44kg Gross weight: 46 kg Refrigerant; R 134a 0.070 kg Fuse: 13 A System compressor Class: N Made in Slovenia

Obviously I’m wasting the time of the forum members of UK White goods so I’ll move on.
