Re: Bosch WFT2800 Wets Clothes as it “Dries”!

Thanks! Another avenue to explore. 🙂

When I cleaned the main drum-to-pump hose the rubber seal by the ball was rather caked but I cleaned it up and the problem still remains.

I don’t actually know what a quad valve is or where. Can you shed a little more light??

    Thanks

Thanks for that! Don’t suppose there’s a service manual or more detailed instructions on gaining access to and removing the drain pump?? I just need to know what’s supposed to budge and what’s not.

    Thanks

    Hi

At least I’m not the only one confused! 🙂 As a further complication, water does trickle from the outlet during drying but I can only assume what’s coming out is less than what’s going in and it backs up into the drum. I agree it seems like a worm pump.

I’ve had the top and back off the machine but the pump’s at the front. Any idea how you take the front off?? There are a few obvious screws for the front panel but I’m guessing there are more behind the dials? Also, the main drum-to-door seal looks to be a flexible plastic ring. Does this just prise off? Does the door just pull off after the screws have been removed? Sorry, so many questions!

And as for a new pump… BoschAppliances.com? Does anyone know of a cheaper/better source?

I’m pretty amazed that I’ve had a response to my question, and so soon, this site is a godsend! After all the searching I did on the net before this…

    Thanks

    Hi

I’ve checked quite a few of the pipes for blockages, the more accessible ones (main pipe from bottom of drum to pump, pump to outlet, outlet to waste), and found nothing. The machine seems to empty ok when it needs to (e.g. when pumping out (program 9) or cleaning the dryer (program 7)). When the drum empties there’s a good flow of water out the outlet pipe. It’s only when “drying” that it can’t shift the water and I’m confused.

What’s also odd is when drying for 15 mins or so, the clothes are dryer but the longer they dry the wetter they get. After 45+ mins there’s a pool of water in the drum and the clothes are drenched. Could it be that the water just builds up and after x mins the level is sufficiently high to reach and wet the clothes? Any help is appreciated.

The (partial) model number is WFT2800GB/13 (but I’ll get the rest later if it’ll help).

Thanks for any help you can offer

    John
