Re: Hotpoint BWM129 Built in Washer

This appliance is built in Italy. The drum spins clockwise and therefore can throw water from the drum up into the drawer. This causes a leak.

Can also be caused by customer using tablets in drewer or high water pressure.

    Re: Indesit WG1130T Drum Noise

This drum would have had 3 transit bolts that would have been removed from the appliance before being used. This is what you are referring to as the holes in the back of the appliance.

Ensure that the appliance is level as if you have been moving it about it could be that the appliance is uneven.

Also ensure that you are not underloading the appliance as this can cause the appliance to be noisy.

Check also by turning by hand in both directions that the cause is not due to foreign object in the appliance drum (Scraping noise is common re bra wire). The appliance as a pre pump chamber at the front of the appliance that can be checked if part dropping into pump chamber).

    Re: Indesit IDL500(in the pink)

    Just a quick reply.

Hotpoint and Indesit are now the same company under the Indesit Company UK Limited name.

I have a Hotpoint appliance built in Italy which is where the head office of Indesit is based.

I have also seen discolouration of internal parts of the dishwasher due to Spag Bog dishes being washed.

However after a few washes the colour can disappear.

    Would recommend the following:-

Ensure that as much waste sauce is removed by running under the water.
Wash on high as level of the appliance this is normally 90-95 degrees – This also helps to clean the appliance again which should be run every so often.
Do not use rinse aide on Hotpoint, Indesit and Ariston (They are also made by Indesit) appliances if using a tablet with rinse aide included. This can cause leaking from the appliance as the appliance thinks that it has not filled to the right level. Also check the leveling of the appliance if this happens. 💡
