Re: Bosch Classixx 6 Heater Not Working

Martin’s suggestions (above), combined with a phone call to a local repairer recommended to me, who does free estimate, and who said that the problem was almost certainly down to the (expensive) logic board and that I’m best advised to spend my cash on a new, warrantied machine, I’ve now, under pressure from Her Indoors, ordered a new machine. I’ve chosen one recommended in the Forum – a Siemens WM14E462GB which John Lewis are offering with a 5-year warranty.

Maybe I’ll be able to salvage some common parts off the Bosch (same org as Siemens?) for my use or for putting on eBay.

    Cheers,
    Jack

    Thanks Martin,

I’ve now removed the boards and examined them…..nothing visually wrong that I can see. I’ve reseated all the connectors on the boards. Power leads board-> element are OK. I note that board prices are £120+ ….that’s almost half the cost of a new machine with a warranty.

The push-in temperature sensor on the element: I can’t get it to show continuity across its terminals, nor give me a resistance reading – could that be an issue?

    Jack
