    Thanks

For anyone else looking to replace the door lock on a Butler Dishwasher BDW7060, the one I used was SMEG part number 697690208. It seems the dishwasher is basically a SMEG dishwasher with many parts (though not all) in common with several SMEG models (DWI710E1 for example) and some Diplomat models (which also have many SMEG parts) including ADP8234

What I did was google BDW7060 which is a SMEG model number(note there is no gap in this number) and find european parts suppliers for this SMEG model number, identify the SMEG original part number from their catalogue by looking at the pictures, and then google the SMEG part number. Have identified several parts for the Butler in this way.

    Hope this helps someone

Re: Identify replacement Butler door lock from part number?

    All,

I think I have now identified the door lock part number. It appears that the Butler model number BDW7060 is also a Smeg appliance model number, and I have found an Italian spares site that lists all the part numbers for the machine. It seems to have many parts in common with the Smeg Diplomat machines.

    Hopefully that is problem solved.

Thanks for the help on the site.
