I’ll add myself to the growing list of people with dodgy Whirlpool American style fridges 🙁

First one failed after 6 months, but it took nearly a year to get a replacement, by which time Whirlpool tried to claim it was outside the warrenty. Unbelievable.

The replacement occasionally does the pulsing water thing, and goes beserk if the freezer is opened twice in rapid succession (sounds like all the relays turning on and off at a rapid rate). Turning it off and on clears that one.

The main problem with it now (and the reason I’m posting) is that it’s making a really loud buzzing sound from the white control box in the back. It sounds like a transformer buzzing, but much louder than any I’ve ever heard.

Anyone else has this? Could it be the relays making the noise? Another symptom of dodgy capacitors?
