Thanks electrofix. Yes I would say that noise is the heater on without the motor.
I stayed by the machine for a while after last night’s post and it never finished after being on for over 2 hours. I decided to turn it off before going to bed and when i opened it it was very hot, so yes the motor had not been on for maybe 40 mins but the heater had.
