ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!
Hi Dave
Thanks for getting back to me.
A 6205 would be really good. I don’t know 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} if the seal if correct. It does seem to fit OK, but then I’m not an expert on these things.

Hi Dave
Sorry to get back with a slightly negative experience.
The bearing kit AR05105 does not contain 6205 and a 6206 as you previously stated, and recommended that I buy, but 6204 and 6206. Consequently the kit which I have now purchased, and half fitted, is incorrect, as the 6204 bearing is too small.
Is there any way you could send me a replacement kit at all, which contains 6205 and 6206?
I’ve also found a good webpage which details how to change the bearings on a similar AEG machine. Perhaps you could pass this on to help others in future?

To others who are thinking of trying to do such bearings, it is fiddly and Dave is quite right about needing a big hammer, but is within the grasp of competent DIYers. I would recommend it.

ParticipantRe: Valor 500 flame failure device
Hi Dave
Stoves have been able to supply me with the flame failure device!
I am stupidly happy, as I’ve searched high and low for this part!
Thank you so much.
I will get back in touch for an engineer in my area once the part arrives.

ParticipantThanks for getting back to me Dave and kwatt.
The numbers written on the plate read-
Serial number: 001637
Cat 2H for g20 at 20mbar(8 ins wg)
Total heat input: 17.5 kwIs that what you meant?
I appreciate the rules kwatt. I wouldn’t attempt such a task myself, but would be happy to pay someone if the part does exist.
Regards

tombooth01 wrote:Hi,
I have a Ariston Margherita 2000 washing machine which has started to spin quite noisely. It works but something is up.
When I manually push the drum round it feels slightly ‘lumpy’ but seems still aligned. I took the back off and let it do a spin cycle and the rattle sound comes from the bearing at the back rather than the belt or the momebt
From what I`ve told you do you guys reckon its the bearing? If so then is it relatively easy to do and can I get the bearing as a spare part?
Thanks in advance!

Serial: 206273315 * 80260970000Hi there
I’ve just stumbled across your website, and hope you can help me.
I seem to have the same issue as Tom. The machine spins REALLY loudly, and when I turn the drum by hand it feels very lumpy. There is a metallic banging during spin, which is still apparent quietly, when turning by hand.
I have opened up the machine, and checked for anything which may be hitting/ rubbing the drum or associated parts, but there is nothing which I can see. I have checked for blockages in the filter too.
Is it likely to be the same issue as Tom, and what would the cost of the parts be please?
Thanks in advance
Chris
