ParticipantRe: miele G 685 Waterproof System
Thanks for your advice, only paid £60 for the machine so don’t want spend much on it. What I did yesterday was use the inlet valve from my old washing machine, connected up with some standard hose and rivited it into the hole left by the original ‘waterproof’ hose so the threaded part sticks out like on a bog standard dishwasher. Conected it up and it seems to work – has completed 4 washes on different cycles and the dishes are clean. The only thing is that the spray arm warning light flashes all the time. I have fully cleaned all 3 arms, they all spin freely and all seem to spin (I have opened the door to check their positions during a wash and it is different each time I open the door) so I am now at a loss – I have unplugged to see if it forces a reset but made no difference – I am guessing it is a fault in the sensors somewhere (the middle arm has a small magnet on the end so I guess this is part of it, but that is the extent of my expertees!). Any suggestions gratefully received before I just take off the front panel and ‘disconnect’ the warning light.
Thanks.

In case any one is interested, I opened up the machine, removed the double skinned pipe and replaced it with a standard hose and unplugged the cable from a block connector inside. Connected up to water, turned tap on and machine filled and did not stop till water overflowed out of it – I guess this means that the waterproofer also acts as the water inlet valve for the machine – looks like I will need to replace it.
Does anyone know a place that does parts/cheap parts/breaks them for parts but I suspect it will cost more than the machine is worth.
Thanks
