Re: AEG Lavamat Turbo 16830 Not Drying

Just a note to say thanks to all the contributors to this forum. My mother-in-law’s AEG 16839 stopped drying the other week and I was able to fix it using advice from this forum. The machine had both a blocked condenser and the broken sensor issue. I would just like to add that you can get the error code by (from another website) 1.Turn the knob to off. 2.Then you need to press the 2 buttons on the far left (top and bottom buttons)3.Keep the 2 buttons pressed in and turn the knob 1 click clockwise.4.Keep the 2 buttons pressed in till the lights start to flash then release them. 5.Now turn the knob 9 more clicks clockwise.6.Now there will be another error code E??

Look the error code up on google.
    Mine was E72
To repair the orange wire connections to the male socket to the sensor in the hose I couldn’t bring myself to re-use this connector, which resembles the “Scotchlock” type of connectors so notorious in after market car electrics. Two v shaped spades that the wires just push onto – I can’t help comparing this with the Miele dryer I fixed recently, which was vastly superior in its quality of connectors. I used conventional crimped connectors. I hope these won’t break as easily, as they are designed for car use where movement is a given.
Thanks once again to all the contributors to (and moderators of) this forum.
