    From ‘the other end of the wires’ ? – other end of the wires from where?

    Do you have a wiring diagram , otherwise all I have is a large bundle of wires running from programme selector to the control unit and back out.

    Logic says the variable resistor for heater control goes straight to the control unit , but that’s a couple of red wires, none of this is colour coded.

    Just to add to this :

    Pulled out the control unit – PCB looks ok , no obvious signs of trauma on the board, and also checked resistance on the temperature control knob at all the various settings , and it showed proper graduation running from 30 deg setting through to 80 and max.

    Maybe by trying again with everything reseated , connectors etc this will work again… ? Don’t hold out much hope , but anyone with more experience with this ?
