Re: Crusader 37667 – Intermittent fault

OK so having taken the side panel off the dryer and located the reversing timer behind the motor it’s apparent that the heads of the screws that hold it in place face the back panel. Conveniently there is a hole cut in the back panel through which I can get a screw driver to undo one of the screws. However, there is no such hole above the second screw and the only way that I can see that you can access it is to remove the spring clip which holds the fan blade unit in place, remove the blade unit and then remove the whole back panel – is that right? The other easier option is to drill a suitably sized hole through the back panel directly above the currently inaccessible screw head. That option saves undoing lots of screws that hold the panels in place!! Any suggestions welcome. Many Thanks

Hi, many thanks for taking the time to respond, I replaced the timer on the front control panel, so not the reversing timer. Where abouts is that located in the dryer, I’ve not spotted it before? Does the reversing timer also switch the heater on and then off in the final 10 minutes for the cool down phase?
