Anyway, after taking the motor out it seemed ok and the wiring seemed intact. After pulling the pcb out I noticed the tracks that couple to the plug for the motor were burnt through. So after a little McGyvering with some solid core and solder I’ve managed to rebuild the tracks and all seems well.
Probably caused by people overloading the thing (it’s a shared house).

So thanks very much for the pointers.

Great job, thanks for the info. Sounds like it could be expensive though 🙁

btw, would it not be worth putting a list of the error codes in the faq?
