Re: Whirlpool AQXXF 149PI drum lifters

Thank you so much for your help. Does the tool have a name because I just put the number in the indesit website parts page and it can’t find it so I may have to phone them on Monday and ask for it?
    Thanks again
    Chris.

In my experience there are three main reason for this problem, washing trainers etc, leaving coins in pockets and not correctly refitting the new lifters.

This type of Indesit drum lifter really requires a special tool to lift the tab after refitting TBH.

Thanks for that, it must the refitting then because non of the other options apply. Does the tab need to be lifted until it’s vertical and can the “special tool” be bought anywhere because I can see this problem becoming a regular occurrence
    Thanks for you help

    That’s a Hotpoint Aquarius machine isn’t it?

If it’s this drum paddle then they do seem to be needing clipped in 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} right or they will break again. But they are very common and appear to break quite easily.

Hi, yes it is a Hotpoint, not Whirlpool, I thought I read they were made by the same company, anyway.
The only thing I am not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure about is on the drum, central to where the lifter is positioned there is a metal tab, it isn’t sprung in any way and and I am not certain as to whether it should be up or down because when the lifters have broken off the tabs have been in various positions. It’s driving me mad. Nearly forgot, yes that does look the same as my lifters.
    Thanks
