    Re: Diplomat 8252 problem

Your right a nasty mess behind the 7 pin plug, sensors / switches / solenoid.

Inlet valve reads 3.6K, Pressure switch and flood switch operate ok. Salt sensor ? 0.2Ohm,and rinse aid ? open circuit. The rinse aid? I pressume is a switch but the salt sensor?
what type of components are these? The 0.2 ohm does this sound correct. The board has a nasty black burn on the pcb tracks, disintegrating tracks from C3 and C5 which go to the rinse aid and salt sensors!
Are these components what killed the board, there are slight signs of water damge on the switch / display mini board, nothing that should cause the destruction though.

    What price a new board?

    Thanks

    Hi Dave
New board arrived and fitted, unfortunately the problem is still there!
The fridge and freezer went to temperature and then the compressor turned off, when the temperature rose up the compressor kept working but allowed the device to heat up just cooling to about -4 degrees in the freezer but the temp rises to about 12 degrees. Any other ideas would be good, thanks

    Thanks Dave

Have ordered the board and will post the results when it arrives. Fingers crossed this will sort the problem out.

    APM6825 from MFI

    Hi All,

I have the same fridge freezer, my problem is the fridge and freezer do not stay at temperature they appear to defrost, although the freezer did at least make an attempt at freezing after i had turned the unit off. It sounds like the pcb but are there any electrical signals etc I can check for around this board to determine that it is fauly? The unit is approx 3 years old. A diagram of the unit including board would be helpfull.

I have done a bit of checking, after turning the machine off and on the fridge and freezer work but after a time both then heat up, hope this helps to get an answer to the problem.
    Thanks
