ParticipantRe: EFO error code on my John Lewis 1400 spin 8kg
🙂 I thought I’d try and turn it on while the back was off as today has been excellent for drying off purposes and it worked! Happy Days! 😀
It worked with the back on and now it is washing clothes
Thank you for all your help :innocent:
Please do share what I’ve found on the Aqua stop hose for others like me who need it

Don’t think it was the hose – I posted that on a different thread but it was merged – because I didn’t know how to correctly get it off – found out so that’s now done.
The question is do you think the puddle on the floor underneath the machine (which was not caused by the machine in any way) was detected inside the machine electronically? There was no water inside it that I could see.
I have left the machine open to air – today is a very good day for that.

I have managed to get the aqua stop hose off courtesy of this information:
https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/educ … or.417453/which you might like to add to your Whitegoods page about it: https://www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/aqua-stop-hoses/
because it tells you how to get them off and if follows how to put them back on again properly
I did not notice any water inside the machine, but my floor was wet from another source, the detectors may have detected this dampness, I think they may have. Would that be the case?
As I have managed to stop from into the aqua hose by turning the water flow director (probably called something else) by 90 degrees so I have water elsewhere in the house – I have decided it’s best to let it air for a day. Let’s hope that works.

I was just hoping someone would see it as there wasn’t an entry for this, it isn’t in the actual machine I think a number of models have this – people may think this one was being sorted or they could not deal with it – the aquastop element is simpler – it does say about it on this site, but not about how to remove and replace it nor does it on this forum – might be useful for others searching in the future.
My stop cock is off so I don’t have water until this is sorted now so it is urgent

If I do as you say – in the morning to get it right – and dry it out – will that fix it? And what is the best way to do this?

I think I’d need to tackle that in the morning.
When I tried a reset – it came up with EF3 on position 10
EFO or EF3:
Check if mutch foam is created caused by using too mutch soap . EFO-EF3 error :In most common reasons:
1. Soap drawer has not been cleaned (please look at user manual guidance)
2. Clothes has been bellow and door glass after loading washer and door closed . This will cause leakage from door
gasket and water will run down the front plateand in the washer on top of the lower panel. Disconnect the
washer from power suply and put a towel behind the washer. Afterwards tilt the washerso there is 10-15 cm
between floor and lower panel and hold for 30-40 sec. Then put the washer on floor again and connect to power
suply.
3. Check is water suply and drain is ok. Clean filter in inlethose by water tap and filter
from http://www.electrolux.im/Files/internat … isplay.pdfIt did return to EFO once I’d turned if off and on again

I think excess suds is not unreasonable as I reckon that was the previous problem (I wanted to make sure the clothes were clean) – I have been rinsing the machine through by pouring jug-loads of water in and feeling the water going out – foamy many times, it is still soft but more like it feels at the end of a wash, not bubbling now. I turned the machine on and off to get it going and rapidly moving it to drain before the error code kicked in.
