I wonder if a similar situation applies with the ‘electronic’ salt dispensing since the ‘relay board’ was changed? The new boards default setting is ‘0’ (I believe?) so that may need configuring to the correct setting based on your water hardness level for optimum wash performance. 😉
Hello,
Here’s an update on the fault I’m experiencing. I tried disabling rinse aid dispensing as suggested, by setting the ‘electronic’ ‘Rinse Aid’ adjustment (i.e. on the LCD, not the mechanical dial) to ‘0’. However, when it’s set like this, the soap drawer fails to open. I’ve tried several times just to check it wasn’t a flukey coincidence, and the same thing happens each time!
Any ideas what’s going on now? Is there some way in which the new power module that was installed in the right hand base of the appliance could be affecting the behaviour of the soap/rinse aid features? Gegsy mentioned something about the “coding may not have been successful or correct” – I’m not sure what he had in mind by this. Does the new board need ‘pairing’ with the control board in the door somehow? I seem to recall that after the engineer left I had to set up the LCD menus correctly again, as the ‘Hardness’ setting was all over the place – and I know he hadn’t changed it as I watched _everything_ he did!
Hope someone has some more insight on what could be going on here.
Kind regards,
Clive Wilson
