Thanks for the tips – it took me a while to find the time, but it was the pipe gunged up in lower left hand corner. I also took the left hand side panel off and cleared out some other gungy looking pieces. 😀 8) 😆

Ok, thanks. I have since tried using Fairy bursts on the top of the cutlery basket (which the packet instructions say you can do anyway if the burst doesn’t fit in the dispenser) and have topped up rinse aid. Still the same sandpapery residue problem (though not quite so bad as with Ecover). I don’t want to change the dispenser if the residue problem is still going to be there.

Thanks – is it easy to replace soap dispenser? How’s it done? I think this does sound the best option.
