ParticipantHi all
Just to confirm that replacing the C1 capacitor has resolved the issue and the cooker hood is now working! Thank you!
I’m now left with a Cooker capacitor that I don’t need and I’m unable to return. Is it possible to advertise an item to sell on this forum?
Many thanks.

ParticipantOk many thanks for your advice. Once I’ve tried replacing the capacitor, I’ll post an update.

ParticipantOk, many thanks. Just to double to check that the replacement C1 needs to be soldered? Thanks.

ParticipantOk thanks, can anybody provide me with a link please as to the best place to buy it? Thanks.

ParticipantHi and thanks Dave for your advice.
I attach a video of the noise that the extractor fan is making. Plus photos of the C1 capacitor and the ECB.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi tubafan, is it possible to send images and videos to this thread and if so how? I tried before and couldn’t get it working. Where is the C1capacitor please?
Actually, is it the black tube type thing? Where can these be bought and how much do they cost?

ParticipantWouldn’t this work as well?

ParticipantHi, unfortunately replacing the capacitor hasn’t worked. The noise is coming from the ECB so could it be that what needs replacing? Thanks.

ParticipantHi K, thanks. I’ll order the part and will update you on how it goes.

ParticipantHi, thank you.
Does the old capacitor just come out and would the new one clip in or would it need soldering? Out of interest, are you a qualified kitchen extractor fan repairer? Thanks.
