    Dave

Got the parts in the post the next day! Excellent service, and easy to fit too! Many thanks for your help.

One final small question though… I ran a couple of test ‘short spins’ to make sure every was OK again, and the drum seems to spin OK now and the motor sounds fine too. The only thing I did notice is that the motor seems to spark an awful lot at higher speeds (anything between about 1000 and 1600), which can been seen reflecting off the bottom of the machine through the holes in the back. Is this normal? Does it improve as the surface of the contacts become smoother?

    Thanks,
    Matt

I took the motor out and removed the brushes, one side is extremely worn with the contact section on a spring hardly showing (I guess this is bad?)

The motor is an FHP with the following identification plate:
    UZ112 G70 Typ ME 002
    3K 083498 359 F5 2428

    Sach Nr: 645 248 850
    SBP: 645 260 610

The only identification on the brushes are L1E embosed on the plastic casing and 47N on the on the contact.

I hope this is enough for you to go on, if not, I can take a couple of photos.

    Many thanks,
    Matt

    Thanks Dave

Can I get the spares from you guys; if so, what part number do I need to quote.

    Many thanks,
    Matt
