Say the compressor at the moment is mounted 5cm from floor height.
If I lower the fridge (by removing the front feet and the metal bar ) so now there is only say 1cm or 2 cm between the floor and the compressor is this still going to allow enough airflow ?

Good air space from back wall and is freestanding if that helps.

Anybody confirm what sort of clearance on the bottom the compressor needs ?

unlucky for me there isn`t a lot of choices of fridge freezer at that size – thought I had cracked it when I saw that one.
