Hi. As you have said the KGN series has a channel up the rear letting the cold air into the fridge section. This is controlled by a mechanical “Flap valve” mounted at the top.
Although these units tend to be inherently on the cold side It is very important that no air is escaping around the rear channel before the flap.

The rear panel can easily be removed by taking out three screws (under covers). The channel should be sealed with insulation foam strips down each side and around the square ait inlet at the bottom.

This will prevent any uncontrolled cooling in the fridge.
