Sounds perfectly normal to me 😀

There is a good read here from our FAQ section which explains lower water levels in the very last paragraph.

Excellent, thank you don,,I was worried I had a duff machine, but I now know its normal, the last paragraph also explains why the wash cycles are much longer, which was something else I was wondering.

Thanks for the link and help

got the bosch in end,,,nice washer,,very heavy,,a lot more then expected compared to my last hotpint.

Only think im not sure about it it doesnt seem to fill up water to the glass like my last unit,i can hear it filling quite a lot but and the clothes are wet, buti cant see the water level.

Maybe its how it is on new cold fill machine/water saving machines.has any of you repair guys come across this before.

ill just addmim using auaplus,,and its only on first fill, the second rinse fill, fills right up with a lot of water.

Darn! i see you are in rochdale to,i wish i had seen this forum first,,how do you go on getting the race out when they are stuck in solid..must be some tool for it,as that silly lip prevents you from getting much behind it.

PS. The washer guy you were speaking to was talking Horlicks, unless of course he was also into selling cheap machines. :rolls:

Great, thanks for that info,,ill most likely grab the bosch, but im still looking at the amica machines., 😀

funnily enough the repair man did have some cheap machines,I didnt get as far as asking him what they was,but he did quote me £160 to do the bearing in my hotpoint providing the race didnt get stuck in!

I got he link for this site from hotukdeals, good site, not many about on white goods with forums. 😀

ok Thanks guys,,they wasnt really reviews just going from forum to forum, and some say they are no good, and others say they have had one 2 years no problems etc etc,.its up and down and very conflicting,,but some use them every day.

I didnt think it would be so difficult to pick a machine these days 😀 😀

I totaly understand though they are not built like they used to be,and most have complex PCB in them that can go wrong, along with bearings not lasting and sealed drums making them wrote of if the bearings go.

A washing machine guy who come out to mine once said, buy the cheapest machine and replace it when it breaks in 1-2 years,,as I live alone i only put on 2 washes a week maybe 3 but only every fortnight,my work overalls are cleaned at work.

nothing lasts nowadays,as to much is built abroad, but i must admit i did always thing bosch and zanussi was a good reliable brand

Thanks for the advice,,I have come across this machine although im unsure if it is a ‘german bosch’ i could stretch to this if it was in a better league,,at least its 2 years piece of mind and it works out at £296 with the code

Re: Which washing machine upto £250,to many bad reviews

    Hi bryan

I have tried to do that, but after taking it apart the outer drum has a crack in the bottom with a creves which looks like the size of a 5p,and the front bearing has tried my pateince long enough 😀 the race is basicaly siezed/rusted in solid.

also needs a front rubber seal which has holes in it and 2 bottom shocks,,i cant even find the outer drum to buy, well only one place at £117.not inc delivery.

So i had tried my best to sort it out,out of the above though which would you say (i know they are all cheap) or is best to buy a cheap beko and stick 3 years on it,prob be around the £260 mark
