I’ve had an engineer out for this in the past and the reason why this happens is that the door is closed with wet washing inside (perhaps it stopped mid cycle as the water holder is full) condensation forms and then there is a need to dry out the back of the machine….. This also means that you cannot use thetime delay function as this also causes condensation in the back of the machine, a design flaw to me.
