    Thanks – I’ll have another look because I don’t remember seeing the ‘star’ screws. Will report back.

    Hi there – did you ever find a solution for this?

    I have exactly the same problem. Can’t remove the timer because of the glass panel that appears glued to the front. Considering using a stanley knife to cut through the glue to release the front glass, but then what glue to use to fix it back on?
    Surely someone at AEG should have thought of this?!
    Anyway would be great to hear back any solutions
