Thanks for your speedy and helpful response.
I will try to replace the kinked hose myself tomorrow and if that fails i will phone for a Hotpoint engineer to investigate the rest!
The hose does have to go up then down and round a corner so as you say, the water flow may be strangled.
However, it has miraculously worked fine in that position for 18months and only started playing up in the last couple of months.
Many thanks once again and also for explainaing the error codes to me 😀
