But it seems to be blocked right at the bottom, if it was ice the heat from the compressor would melt it. I just can’t see where the wire should come out. Thanks.

So will I have to remove the fan to access the ducting and flush out with a hosepipe.

Thanks for the help. New inlet solonoid valve fitted for £22. Machine as good as new.
